May I create my own website?

MortgageStar has spent considerable time and resources developing a brand image. Allowing 3000+ loan officers to use our name in their own version of a website would simply not work.

We will customize, maintain and host our official website for you for free. MortgageStar subscribes to Internet services which track unauthorized use of our name to protect our brand.

May I send loans directly to your investors?

No, MortgageStar is the lender we process, underwrite and close from our corporate headquarters in Bethesda, MD.

Do you offer broker products?

Yes, since MortgageStar has an extensive Net Branch network we are approved with over 250 lenders. Occasionally a loan will be submitted to us and we will chose not to make that loan. We will forward the file to Ken Gustafson who will attempt to place the loan with one of our approved investors. When this option is utilized we will split the profit with you 50 / 50.

May I advertise?

Absolutely, using our pre-designed ad slicks and marketing and materials you'll look good!

May I print my own business cards and marketing materials?

No, in order to create a uniform brand image it is important that all of the marketing materials, including business cards come form us. We provide these materials to you at our expense.
